Memory of a study trip  A meeting at Kikori-ya

集団研修「持続的農村開発コース」が阿武町、萩市須佐地区で開催

７月１４日　萩農林事務所を表敬訪問された皆さんは、３つの宿泊施設（漁家民宿いかり、阿武町ふれあいセンター、農家民宿樵屋）に分かれて泊まって頂くことになりました。
樵屋に宿泊された皆さんです。
南アフリカからシクワリさん、ザンビアからベニーさん、同じくザンビアからドミニクさんが来られました。
さっそく日本の食事を味わって頂きました。
On July 14th, after visiting the Hagi Agriculture and Forestry Office, the participants were divided into three groups and stayed at three different tourist homes: Ikari, Fureai Center and Kikoriya.

The photos below show the members who stayed at Kikoriya:  Sikhwari san from South Africa, Benny san from Zambia and Dominic san also from Zambia.  We served Japanese food.

２日目　今日から本格的な研修が始まりました。
奈古地区を中心に役場訪問や道の駅、また外海水産試験場の栽培漁業センターでは、アワビの稚貝や鯛、カサゴの稚魚などの飼育のようすを視察をしました。
暑い中にもかかわらず、意見交換ではとても熱のこもった議論が続出していました。
Second day:  The substantial training program started.
In mainly Nago area, they visited Abu Town Hall, Michino-eki (roadside station) and Fish Farming Center where they observed the abalone young shells, fry young fish of sea bream and of rock fish.

Although it was very hot, we heatedly exchanged our opinion in the discussion time.

阿武町役場ではまず始めに町長さんに表敬訪問
活発な意見交換が続きました。
They firstly paid the courtesy visit on the mayor at the Abu Town Hall.

道の駅の直売所、魚のコーナーに関心が・・・。
特に、生産地や賞味期限のラベルにも関心が集まっていました。
At the direct sales shop in the Michino-eki, they got quite interested in the fish section…
Especially, they got interested in the label of the origin and the best-before date.

色々な質問が次から次へと出て、時間が立つのも忘れるほどでした。
Various continuous questions made us almost forget the time.

町の散策は、暑さのため急遽バスで河野さん宅（酒屋さんで日本の商家を代表するような立派な作り）を見せて頂きました。
Because of the hot weather, instead of strolling around, we visited Kawano-san’s house by bus and observed one of the representative sake brewerymerchant family houses of Japan.
