Memory of a study trip  A meeting at Kikori-ya

研修３日目は、農事組合法人「うもれ木の郷」を視察。
お昼は福賀保育園で奈古の園児達も参加をして遊戯やお昼にはそうめん流しなどをしました。
午後からは今回の目的のひとつでもある、地域医療と福祉について、「えんがわ」や診療所を視察しました。

On the third day, they visited Umoregi-no-sato, the agricultural corporation.

At lunch time, they visited Fukuga Day Nursery School, where kids from Nago area joined and played together.  We enjoyed the floating noodle.

In the afternoon, they observed Engawa (regional day care nursing center) and clinic, one of the main observation targets this time.

農事組合法人「うもれ木の郷」では自分たちで作った米を「うもれ木米」として販売するなど、販売にも力を入れている。
At Umoregi-no-sato, the agricultural corporation, they are promoting marketing and sell their brand rice called ‘Umoregi-mai’.

スイカをご馳走になりました。
糖度計で糖度をチェックして販売するなど生産物の品質管理に力を入れていることも学びました。
They enjoyed water melon.They learned their quality control checking the sugar content by the instrument.

スイカはとっても美味しかったです。
Water melon was very tasty.

保育園では、園児達が一生懸命遊戯を踊って歓迎してくれました。
園児の中には、研修員の国の国旗を作ってくれていた子もいて、とても感激しておられました。

At the day nursery, the kids danced for the participants and welcomed them.

One kid made national flags of the participants and they were deeply moved for that.

サプライズとして、昼食にそうめん流しで歓迎しました。
珍しかったのか、園児達も沢山食べていました。As surprise, they welcomed the participants with the floating noodle lunch.

Children also enjoyed it, maybe because it was a rare occasion for them.

箸でそうめんを挟むのって大変だったでしょうね。
Maybe it was very difficult for them to catch the noodle with chopsticks

全員で記念写真を撮りました。
We took a group photo all together.

小地域サービス事業所「えんがわ」では、この施設が作られたいきさつや、過疎地の福祉について学びました。
At Engawa, small regional nursing center, they learnt the background of the facility and the welfare in the remote area.

今日は全員が樵屋に集まり、夕食は庭の木陰で食べました。
All gathered at Kikoriya and had dinner under the shade of trees in our garden.

小中学生との交流は、３つの班に分かれてやりました。Interaction with elementary and junior high school students in three groups

パソコンでそれぞれの国の説明を真剣に聞く子供達。

ここの班はお話で大いに盛り上がっていました。
This group excited very much!

この交流会に参加したのは１０数人と少なかったのですが、みんなそれぞれすばらしい体験をすることができ、皆さんの国に大きな関心を持つことができました。
　研修員の皆さんは連日の研修でお疲れだったと思いますが、いやな顔ひとつせず、子供達のために親切に説明をして頂き、大変有り難うございました。
子供達は、今回の交流を決して忘れないでしょう。

Only ten students joined this exchange program, but this was a wonderful experience for them and they got interested in the participants’ countries.

All the participants explained well about their respective countries to the children, even if they must have been very tired after the intensive training schedule.  Thank you very much for your kind cooperation!

Children will never forget about this exchange.
